Kilimanjaro Marathon 2014 – Giving to Molly’s Network
How to make your Kili Marathon experience even more worthwhile!
If you’d like to make all that training even more worthwhile and rewarding, here’s how you can raise funds for Molly’s Network that will help transform lives, lifting people out of poverty, for good.
Click on this link to set up your own personal fundraising page on the JustGiving website.
Once you've set up your JustGiving page, just cut and paste your unique web address and email it to as many potential supporters you can think of – family, friends, colleagues, employers – or share it through the different social media buttons at the top of your JustGiving page.
Your supporters will be able to donate securely with a credit / debit card wherever they are in the world, taking hassles out of collecting sponsorship – and ensuring we can track and account for every dollar. You will be able to keep track of how much you’ve raised individually as you go along – as well as how we’re doing overall.
Congratulations if you have registered for the Kilimanjaro Marathon!
There’s no doubt it will be a great day you’ll remember probably for the rest of your life. And for many people, the incredible sense of physical achievement can be multiplied many times over by knowing that the experience has also raised desperately needed funds to help people in need.
That’s why this year, the Kilimanjaro Marathon has teamed up with Molly’s Network - in an official partnership that gives you the chance to run for charity and raise money for good causes in Tanzania.
Molly’s Network has established Tanzania’s first charity accreditation scheme, with members working in tough situations on the ground and addressing needs as diverse as vulnerable children, health, environment, water, sanitation and affordable energy.
All funds channelled to projects through Molly’s Network can be given in the confidence that members have been properly vetted, are accountable and transparent.
Every dollar raised will make a difference, not only through grants to member organisations - all of them dynamic small charities doing fantastic work in Tanzania - but also by helping Molly's Network to expand its support for existing and potential new members in the coming months. And you can be sure that Molly's Network will monitor and report back to you on the impact your funds have made.
Last year Paul and Cat Joynson-Hicks used the Kili Marathon to raise $8,700 for Molly's Network providing invaluable support for the Tanzania Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as enabling Molly's Network to develop and grow. This year they will be doing it again, but with a fundraising target of $16,000!
Why not join them? See you on the start line!
