On 28 February 2010, the 8th Kilimanjaro Premium Lager Marathon (and Half Marathon and Vodacom Fun Run) was enjoyed by almost 3500 runners! As usual the little town of Moshi came to life for that weekend, as hundreds of athletes from all over the world flooded in to enjoy this fantastic event.
The Honourable Mizengo Peter Pinda (MP), Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, presided over the morning presented the prize monies to the winners.
Local 'sprinter' Fabian Joseph thrilled the crowds when he won the half marathon race in this year's event in a record breaking time of 63 minutes and 59 seconds. The Kenyans did well in the Full marathon, with Stephen Cheboguit emerging the winner clocking 2 hours, 15 minutes and 32 seconds, followed by compatriots David Kiprono and Julius Tumakor.
